To qualify, the project must meet the Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance's goal of reducing or controlling stormwater runoff. In this program, LOWA provides for discounted landscaping and lawn-care services as an incentive to implement its low-impact landscaping with the help of partnering businesses and LOWA's 319 Healthy Lake grant.
The LOWA Landscape Professional Partner gives a 10 percent discount on its services, and LOWA kicks in the next 40 percent of the landscaper's bill with the cost-share benefit capped at the first $5,000 of the bill. So at the maximum, a $5,000 project would only cost the homeowner $2,500.
