Mississippi Chapter Awards JACKSON, Miss. - Brad Stringer, ASLA, President of the Mississippi Chapter of ASLA, recently announced the winners of the chapter's annual landscape architectural awards. Eleven projects were submitted by six firms in the categories of residential, built environment and planning. Four members of the Alabama Chapter served as judges for this competition. The winners for 2000 are as follows: Residential Category: A Merit Award was presented to Barry Landscape for their work on the Croswell Residence. Built Environment Category: The firm of Weatherford McDade, Ltd. emerged as the big winner in this category with four Merit awards presented for their work on a wide range of projects. ?EUR??,,????'???? Hinds Community College, Campus Core Development ?EUR??,,????'???? Longleaf Trace, Rails to Trails Project ?EUR??,,????'???? City of Ridgeland Entry Signage ?EUR??,,????'???? Winner's Circle Park, City of Flowood Planning Category: Robert F. Poore, ASLA, Edward Blake, ASLA, and Michael van Valkenburg, FASLA, received the Honor award for their work on a private estate named Tishomingo South.
