NPMA, a nonprofit organization that supports the pest management industry, has announced Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) will speak at NPMA's Legislative Day on March 17.

The National Pest Management Association has announced that House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the second House's highest-ranking member, will be a guest speaker during NPMA's Legislative Day on March 17.

Legislative Day provides NPMA members an annual opportunity to forge relationships with their elected U.S. Senators and Representatives. It also helps NPMA establish partnerships with a new generation of federal lawmakers, which will ultimately benefit the entire professional pest management industry.

This year's event, sponsored by FMC, will feature keynote speakers General Stanley McChrystal, Chris Wallace and Reid Wilson. Other features of Legislative Day 2015 include a workshop on pollinator health, a session on the food modernization act and a presentation of the results of the NPMA/PCT Business Profile Survey.

"For 27 years, PMPs have increased awareness, knowledge and support of the $6B pest management industry among Members of Congress," stated NPMA Chief Executive Officer Bob Rosenberg. "In recent years we have seen significant legislative successes that can be directly attributed to our members' participation at Legislative Day. I strongly encourage PMPs to join us on Capitol Hill in March and continue to make a difference."
