Prices show a 13.2% uptick from a year ago. Random Lengths framing lumber composite prices comprise stats from the highest-volume regions of the U.S. and Canada. The price shows that framing lumber composite prices decreased by 1.2% while the price of lumber remained unchanged.

In 2024, prices saw an uptick in the 2x10 market than in any other market. The Department of Commerce delayed the sixth annual review of duties on Canadian softwood lumber.

NAHB is looking for answers to make housing affordable as lumber is an avenue that leads to a housing swing. LASN will continue to monitor the numbers.
