LSU Hosts Design Criticism Competition

BATON ROUGE, La. - The School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University is calling for entries in its seventh annual design criticism competition.

Entrants are asked to submit critiques of built works of landscape architecture. Submissions must be 2,000 to 2,500 words with camera-ready, black-and-white illustrations or 35mm slides. The aim of the competition is to increase the awareness of the need for well-written critiques, improve the level of quality in built projects, as well as open a dialogue for the profession.

Papers need to be submitted by Jan. 31, 2002, and publication is scheduled for fall 2002. For more information and submission details, call Bruce Sharky at (225) 578-1434 or e-mail bshark2@lsu.edu.
