Los Angeles Honors NUVIS with Design Award for River Park

 

The linear Riverfront Park follows the contour of the Los Angeles River on both sides of the river basin west of Laurel Canyon Boulevard. It features pedestrian pathways accented by stone, paving, native plants, trees and a pocket park.

The city of Los Angeles presented NUVIS, a landscape architecture and planning firm headquartered in Costa Mesa, Ca., with a 2005 Los Angeles River award for Best Completed Project for its Riverfront Park at Studio City. Riverfront Park is the first constructed section of the Los Angeles River greenway community enhancement plan.
