Long Beach Rebates for Sustainable Yards

The specific purpose of the rebates offered by the Lawn-to-Garden Incentive Program is to assist Long Beach, Calif., residents in getting rid of
thirsty lawns.

The Long Beach Water Department will rebate $2.50 per square foot of lawn removed from front lawns and parkways and replaced with California friendly landscaping. Up to 1,000 square feet can be rebated.

Plant material must cover up to 65% of the landscaped area, and the landscape cannot contain any turf grass, whether it?EUR??,,????'?????<www.sm.watersavingplants.com) or BeWaterWise.com/GardenSoft. Any plant not listed on those websites requires pre-approval from the LBWD.
