The holiday season is indeed fast approaching and landscape contractors who have added holiday lighting to their bottom line are getting ready to make it a memorable time with the latest innovative products for 2009.
In an interview with Mike Marlow, National Sales Manager for Holiday Bright Lights, he explained, ?EUR??,,????'?????<?For 2009, we took a different approach with the LED light sets. We added a copper connection that eliminated the corrosion completely. The copper is more reliable.?EUR??,,????'?????<? This new approach, according to Marlow, is a boost to the LED light set that the company already manufactures. Marlow continued, ?EUR??,,????'?????<?We also use an IC Chip, known as ALWAYS LIT technology ?EUR??,,????'?????<???(R) it runs power to the whole strip. It takes eight or nine bulbs, instead of just one, to burn out before the illumination goes out.?EUR??,,????'?????<? After replacing the few dim bulbs, the power will go back on.
Holiday LiteSource, started in 1995 by Darryl Holland, is also gearing up for the 2009 Holiday Season by introducing three new lightclips. The first clip was developed for the ridge row, which is the top part of the roof. ?EUR??,,????'?????<?There has been a need for this type of clip for a long time, to easily and precisely go around the ridge row,?EUR??,,????'?????<? said Holland.
The second clip works on metal roofs, and uses an extremely strong type of magnet to hold rope lights. These clips will attach to a metal roof and can be placed underneath the awning or eave of the roof. The third clip will hold specifically C7 and C9 lights, as well as icicles. Holland stated, ?EUR??,,????'?????<?You could actually use these clips year-round because the clip and wire are almost invisible underneath the awning. Also, the plastic socket and wire, which usually dry out in the hot sun, are protected.?EUR??,,????'?????<? Holland said, ?EUR??,,????'?????<?We try to push the boundaries and explore the possibilities.?EUR??,,????'?????<?
In terms of crew size, lighting specialists say it depends on the square footage of the home and how many homes are scheduled for that day. Marlow stated, ?EUR??,,????'?????<?Crew size on a typical 3500 or 4000 square foot house is 2 or 3. It?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s hard to estimate a number of lights per hour or season, but a crew of 2 or 3 guys can get 3-4 homes done a day These are decent projects that will take up the whole day, and maybe run into the night.?EUR??,,????'?????<?
For both companies, their trend-setting products are sure to open eyes and ?EUR??,,????'?????<?light?EUR??,,????'?????<? the way to the holidays.
