Lighting Company Uses Solar Power

B-K Lighting recently announced the unveiling of their new 116 kilowatt (kW) solar electric system designed and installed by REC Solar, an installer of solar electric systems. B-K Lighting’s solar electric system will transform the roof into a state-of-the-art source of energy. The system is composed of 680 Mitsubishi Electric 170-Watt panels, and when completed it is expected to supply two thirds of B-K Lighting’s overall electrical energy per year in renewable green energy. This solar electric system will produce over 170,000 kW hours annually and will save the company thousands of dollars in energy costs – without adding any greenhouse gas emissions along the way.
