Biggest event in 11 years planned

NEW YORK, NY

Lightfair International 2000 show scheduled for May 8-11 is shaping up to be the biggest and best in its 11 year history. Over 400 exhibiting companies will occupy approximately 1,100 booths in the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The 17,000 expected attendees from the architectural, engineering and design profession will have plenty of workshops and seminars to select from.

On the pre-conference day, May 8, five day-long seminars and one half-day seminar are being offered. A lighting certification review workshop, essential photometrics and aspects of lighting for museums, libraries and archives are just some of the workshops that attendees can enjoy. During the Trade Show and Conference on May 9-11, over 30 seminars within five defined tracks-Design in the Built Environment, Energy & Technology, Entertainment Archtiecture, Business Practices and Urban Lighting: City Lights.

The entire 2000 Conference will offer CEU/Learning Units for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and International Interior Design Association (IIDA) accredidation, providing National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professionals Lighting Education Units.
