After four decades with landscape architecture firm Lifescapes International, Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs has announced that she will retire at the end of the year.

Lifescapes International, an award winning landscape architecture firm based in Newport Beach, CA, released the following report:

After many years of dedicated service and leadership, our partner and President, Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs, has decided to retire from her position at the end of the year, and over the next couple of months will transition out and step back to spend more time with her family. We, at Lifescapes, want to take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to Julie for her outstanding contributions to our firm. Her legacy will always be remembered and respected, and we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

Julie has spent 42 years with the firm and has been an integral part of our firm's success, contributing her vision, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence. With her help, we have achieved remarkable milestones, delivered outstanding and iconic projects, and established a strong reputation for innovative landscape design.

She has been active in a variety of professional and charitable organizations, including Urban Land Institute, and was co-founder of HomeAid America. Throughout her career, she has been recognized many times for her professional achievements, including Orange County Businesswoman of the Year, Soroptimist International Woman of Distinction Award, and the B.J. Stewart Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Involvement. She will continue her commitment and passion for helping others achieve their own success by sharing her own, as well as remaining a mentor to our team moving forward.

For many decades, she has worked side by side with the other Executive Senior Principals Dan Trust, Roger Voettiner, and Andrew ("Andy") Kreft, effectively continuing the commitment to excellence established by Lifescapes' Founders and Julie's parents, Don and Barbara Brinkerhoff. Dan, Roger, and Andy will continue to guide the team forward seamlessly, to create new and innovative destinations for generations. These leaders have been instrumental in our success and are committed to upholding the values and principles that have guided our firm for more than 65 years. Furthermore, our firm is built on a foundation of talented, dedicated and experienced professionals who will be leading our firm into the future.

We are confident that this transition will be smooth and that our clients and partners will continue to receive the same high-quality service, reliability, and innovative design that they have come to expect from us. Our commitment to design excellence and client satisfaction remains unwavering.
