Stellar Industries, Inc. a locally owned and operated manufacturer of hydraulic truck mounted equipment has recently hired Elton Sheets as a Mechanical Engineer. Sheets has a BA and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, a Masters in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa.

The Connecticut Olmsted Award has been presented to David K. Leff. The award is given annually by CTASLA to a person or organization outside of our profession who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to stewardship of the land. Leff retired this year as Deputy Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.

Adam Wiegman has been hired at Stellar Industries, Inc. to fill the position of designer/ drafter. His new responsibilities will include designing for the American Eagle drawer system product line as well as the X-Tra-Lift product line. Wiegman graduated with distinction at Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Technology.

Virginia Lombardi has been appointed as Account Executive for Kichler Landscape Lighting in the Arizona marketplace. She lives in Phoenix and will be responsible for Kichler Landscape Lighting sales and education in the Landscape and Irrigation channel of distribution. National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) Chairman Jim Roberts has appointed Richard C. Moore of Lehman-Roberts Co. as the new chairman for the 2007 World of Asphalt Show and Conference. Moore is President of Lehman-Roberts, based in Memphis, Tenn. Moore is an active member of the asphalt industry community.

DIG Corporation, provider of LEIT irrigation controllers, drip irrigation products and battery-operated controllers, announces the promotion of Rick Heenan to National Sales Manager. Heenan joined DIG in 1990 as a sales representative and will now manage the DIG Commercial Sales Team.
