Grant & Power Landscaping volunteers donated their time and muscles, along with volunteers from Wheaton Bible Church, to help create a relaxing place and also enhance the landscape for the residents of Jubilee Village. ?EUR??,,????'?????<?It was awesome to see everyone pull together,?EUR??,,????'?????<? said Sally Strzalka of the Women?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s Ministry at Wheaton Bible Church. ?EUR??,,????'?????<?We had generous donations of time and resources and it only took one question to make this happen?EUR??,,????'?????<???? ?EUR??,,????'?????<?Would you like to help??EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR??EUR??,,????'?????<?
This beautiful outdoor living space was made possible by donations and volunteers from Grant and Power Landscaping, as well as volunteers from Wheaton Bible Church and donations by Midwest Groundcovers, Unilock, Wilson Nursery, Western Irrigation, Kaknes Landscape Supply, Home Depot of Carol Stream, and Kramer Tree Specialists. The project was also a way to celebrate Earth Day 2009 and PLANET Day of (Professional Landcape network) Service.
?EUR??,,????'?????<?What also makes this project so unique is that the bricks that were donated for the patio by Unilock, were the same ones used around Buckingham Fountain in downtown Chicago,?EUR??,,????'?????<? said Kathy Richardson of Grant and Power.
Jubilee Village is a supportive living community for young single mothers, age 18-25 years; not only does Jubilee Village provide shelter, but also a lifeline to these women and their children who may otherwise be homeless. At Jubilee Village, young mothers find the tools to transition from being homeless to independent living within 24 months. They are taught life skills through ongoing education, spiritual development, and financial supervision. In 2008, the Women?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s Ministry at Wheaton Bible Church formed a partnership with Outreach Community Ministries, a national organization, to serve the needs of Jubilee Village.
