Texas Turf Irrigation Association, Plano, Texas, welcomes new Executive Director Amanda Griffin, who is the owner of Smart Outdoor Services in Garland, Texas. Also, Atomic Irrigation, Santa Monica, Calif., completed an irrigation project at Fort MacArthur Air Force Base in San Pedro, Calif. The project included a new irrigation system design that saves money on water usage, protects existing investments, and achieves sustainable
water management.

Ecoscape Solutions Group, Inc., a Charlotte based, leading full-service landscape company, has opened two new offices. Ecoscape is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. and has offices in Raleigh, N.C., Atlanta, Ga., Fort Mill, and now in Columbia and Charleston, S.C. Jason Farland, vice-president of operations, has relocated to our existing Raleigh office. In existence since 1994, Countryside Landscaping merged with Greenlawn Landscape and Irrigation in 2005 to form Ecoscape Solutions Group.

Steve Hanson Landscaping, a Santa Barbara-owned landscaping company, recently won two awards at the California Landscape Contractors Association 2009 Trophy Awards. The landscape company took first place in largest residential properties and won the achievement award for small residential properties.




Tom Barrett


Tom Barrett received the prestigious Award of Merit from the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association (INLA) at the 2010 Green Excellence Award ceremony. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the Indiana Green Expo at the Indiana Convention Center. The Award of Merit is given annually to an individual, corporation or government agency, which has contributed significantly to the Indiana Landscape Horticulture Industry. Mr. Barrett received this award for his ongoing commitment and dedication to the Indiana nursery and landscape industry, particularly regarding the launching of the Landscape Industry Certified (previously recognized as CLT) national certification program from PLANET and the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association. Barrett?EUR??,,????'?????<Greenwater Infrastructure provides consulting and training services for the sustainability of the nursery and landscape industry.




Stephanie Gordon


The Fockele Garden Company?EUR??,,????'?????< draftsperson Stephanie Gordon recently completed the Georgia Certified Landscape Professional program and obtained an associate degree in environmental horticulture. In addition, Gordon recently received her associate degree in environmental horticulture from Gwinnett Technical College where she specialized in landscape design. She also has obtained a Level 1A Certified Personnel designation from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. It allows Gordon to monitor landscape construction sites for best management practices in the area of control and prevention of erosion.
