Judson E. Griggs

Judson E. Griggs after a 30-year career in which he experienced different aspects of the landscape industry, has joined Lambert Landscape Company as the Director of garden development. He brings to the table not only landscape design, sales and operations experience, but Judson demonstrated his ability as a proven leader in his role as president of the national landscape association ALCA (now PLANET)

LHB helped BASF Construction Chemicals attain LEED???????(R)???? Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Silver Certification for BASF’s building systems headquarters located in Shakopee, Minnesota. This is only the third building to earn LEED-EB O&M certification in Minnesota. LHB is a multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural firm with 180 employees, with offices throughout the Midwest.

Borst Landscape and Design in Allendale, New Jersey, recently won the Grand Award in Environmental Improvement from the Professional Land Care Network (PLANET), an international association of landscape design/build professionals, landscape management companies, lawn care contractors and interior plantsmen. A key criterion for the award is execution of a superior landscape project, which Borst demonstrated with a challenging landscape design/build project in Bergen County.

Deanna Griffith has joined Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. company, as marketing manager with responsibility for the Americas and Asia Pacific. She will report to Martin Levy, vice president sales and marketing. Griffith has been recruited from Exact Software Americas, based in Boston, Mass., where she was the senior marketing manager for the Americas.

Arnco, one of the largest independently owned chemical systems manufacture today announces the appointment of Bill Hory as their (GEO) Green Enabling Officer. A position that Arnco believes is the first of its kind. The announcement came from Arnco President Larry Carapellotti. During the past 15 years, Bill has had the unique experience in our company of developing business across all divisions both, domestic and internationally.

The California Landscape Contractors Association of Orange County (CLCA) has recently awarded local notable landscape contractors for a variety of honors including their dedication to water conservation, creating sustainable, environmentally-friendly landscapes, beautiful landscape installations and quality landscape maintenance. The CLCA Beautification awards are given annually from the Orange County Chapter of the CLCA, a chapter of the only statewide trade organization of licensed landscape and landscape related contractors.

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) announced that Sabeena Hickman has been named chief executive officer. Hickman was formerly chief operating officer and has been acting chief executive officer for the past 18 months. PLANET also announced that Aaron Majors CLP, CLT, of Cagwin & Dorward in Novato, Calif. has passed the Certified Landscape Professional test and is nationally certified.

Westwood based award winning Lawns by Yorkshire Chief Executive Officer, Steven Jomides, announced that Burke S. Hammonds will be joining Lawns by Yorkshire as a vice president, and will be focusing on business development opportunities including building strategic relationships in the Class A, multi-family and industrial markets throughout New Jersey and New York. Hammonds will also oversee the account managers who hold key business development responsibilities.
