Wright Manufacturing has been recognized as Member Company of the Year by the Maryland World Class Consortium. The honor was bestowed on the commercial lawnmower manufacturer for its excellent lean manufacturing experience. Wright met all 10 criteria for the award, but Wright president Shawn Wolf said the company was singled out for the way in which it met two criteria. One required companies to act as a role model for other members by motivating and inspiring others to embrace lean; and to support goals and values through mentoring others, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
