NALP will be giving back to the community through the 27th Annual Renewal & Remembrance Event on July 17th. The event will feature various companies donating their equipment or time.
The 27th annual Renewal & Remembrance will be held on July 17th at Arlington National Cemetery and The National Mall with nearly 500 landscape professionals from across the nation in attendance, including members of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), volunteers will improve irrigation systems, plant plants, protect historic trees, and enhance the turf.
This year's project will include the installation of woodchips around tree stands near the Washington Monument at the Tidal Basin and the renovation of turf near the Washington Monument. The Arlington National Cemetery project will feature top dressing turf, irrigation, lighting protection on trees, and hardscape and install projects.
This volunteer mission is supported by various companies through time or equipment including Greenworks Commercial, John Deere, and SiteOne Landscape Supply.
"Landscape and lawn care professionals love to give back and the annual Renewal & Remembrance event allows them to use their horticulture skills to care for some of America's most important green spaces," said NALP CEO, Britt Wood.
NALP will also host a Children's Program at Arlington National Cemetery.
