During ?EUR??,,????'??The Great Flood of '93,?EUR??,,????'?? a crop of 609 Buffalograss located at the Emerald View Turf Farms in O?EUR??,,????'???Fallon, Missouri was submerged under water, along with millions of acres of property throughout the affected Midwestern states. The flood destroyed crops indiscriminately, but the 609 Buffalograss displayed a hardiness that no one realized it possessed. After 36 days of an underwater existence, the sod survived. The mechanism behind this plants survival skills is currently under study.
