MANALAPAN, NJ – Schoor DePalma recently provided school supplies and book bags for at-risk school children in New Jersey through its charitable ?EUR??,,????'??Back to School 2003?EUR??,,????'?? program.
The company also provided school supplies at no cost for its employees who have dependent children in grades K-12. (Note: The company employees are called ?EUR??,,????'??co-owners,?EUR??,,????'?? as since 1989, all members of the staff own company stock.)
Twenty book bags were provided to Family & Children?EUR??,,????'???s Service, and approximately 320 were given to the staff at no cost.
In partnership with the nonprofit organization Family & Children?EUR??,,????'???s Service, Schoor DePalma provided book bags full of notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, folders and pencil cases to needy school children in New Jersey.
?EUR??,,????'??We were overwhelmed by the company?EUR??,,????'???s donation of book bags and school supplies,?EUR??,,????'?? commented Mary Thornton, education coordinator for Family Services. ?EUR??,,????'??I want to thank Schoor DePalma for making it possible to send students back to school with the necessary school supplies.?EUR??,,????'??

Part of that commitment is seen in the company?EUR??,,????'???s active internship program. In the summer of 2003, the company had 39 student interns in a program that stresses real world experience and mentorship with company experts. The company also has a tuition reimbursement program an academy, and a comprehensive training program of seminars and classes on communications, project management, computer skills, technical writing and job-specific issues to help co-owners achieve their professional goals. accomplish this task, we will have fulfilled a wish of every parent of a child with disabilities-to see their child playing happily with others and in the process we will have created outdoor play and learning environments that will benefit everyone, with and without disabilities.”
