While there won?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?t be tremendous growth, 2003 looks to be a great year for the profession. LASN is predicting modest growth this year although the Portland Cement Association recently released a statement in which they predict a slight (about 1%) drop in overall construction. Residential is still the strong sector with commercial and industrial falling off.
Keep your eye on the new millenium?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s version of ISTEA (transportation) funding, called ?EUR??,,????'?????<?TEA – 21.?EUR??,,????'?????<? Recently 43 Senators, including a majority of the current Senate Banking Committee membership, asked President Bush, in a letter, to provide increased funding for public transit systems.

Like news on the Green Roof Initiative, which looks to place greenery on the tops of buildings in the major cities across the country. Word has it that Ford Motor Corp is looking at turning green the roofs of their huge Detroit Rouge Factory.
