Well, it sure has been an exciting year for us at The Landscape Architect and Specifier News. With the magazine now reaching 90 percent of the licensed Landscape Architects across the country, our sales have doubled over last year! We’ve brought on some outstanding people in Marty Smith (Editor-In-Chief), Sheryll A. H. Zangeneh (Production Manager) and our newest member of the team Ralph Pulido (Account Executive) For those of you who attended the L.A.T.E. Show ‘87 you know the kind of effort these people have put forth over the past year. The L.A.T.E. Show itself has been a very exciting and rewarding experience. Thanks to the support of some fantastic people, both Landscape Architects and suppliers, we have laid the ground work for a truly beneficial trade exhibition for the entire landscape architecture profession. Now, with all this growth and through all the excitement, one thing sticks in my mind. The people who practice the art and the profession of landscape architecture are a truly fantastic group. We have been blessed with growing support and eager participation from almost everyone we have met! The people in this profession are great! That’s why we have so greatly enjoyed supporting you through your associations and organizations. Some of the affiliated groups have not wanted our support, but we all understand that change takes time and with time will come a new understanding of the potential that this profession has to positively influence the lives of the American public. With this in mind, we would like to thank those organizations and their members for allowing us the opportunity to support them through donations, newsletter advertising, sponsorship and reporting your events: Landscape Architectural Foundation (LAF) CLASS Fund SCC/ASLA San Diego ASLA NCC/ASLA Louisiana ASLA Colorado ASLA CCLA Utah ASLA Texas ASLA Washington ASLA ASIC IECA Xeriscape Florida ASLA Georgia ASLA (very soon!) BIA NAHB Once again, thank you for all the tremendous support. We have some very exciting things coming up in 1988. Some of you already know what a few of them are and the rest of you will have to wait and see. Until then, have a great holiday season and a fantastic 1988. ?EUR??,,????'??+God Bless George Schmok, Publisher
