As we rapidly approach our second full year of publication I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of those who have lent their support and expertise to the magazine. It wasn’t easy getting the magazine off the ground but thanks to growing support from across the country, The Landscape Architect and Specifier News, has tripled its circulation from the first issue and has more than doubled sales over the first four months of 1987. For this we have you . . . all of you to thank! Now the trade show season is upon us and we’re looking forward to being able to thank many of you in person. If you are planning to attend the National Landscape Industry Show in Long Beach, California, stop by booth number 1113. We’ll be there waiting to hear from you. We’ll also be at the Texas ASLA Convention in Galveston. Last year we were there with about 500 Texan LA’s. We hope to see at least that many this year. We did not make it, this year, to the Florida Chapter’s Annual Convention, and for this I apologize. You are definitely on our calendar for 1988. In the interest of brevity I’ll conclude my little corner of editorial by inviting all of you to Las Vegas in November to attend the newest addition to our growing coverage of the landscape architectural profession . . . The L.A.T.E. Show ‘87. The theme for the exciting seminars scheduled at the convention is “Landscape Architecture As It Is Today.” We are looking forward to providing you with useful, hands-on, information about the business of being in business as a landscape architect. Once again, THANKS! I Hope to see ya’all real soon. ?EUR??,,????'??+God Bless George Schmok, Publisher
