Tunnell- Spangler-Walsh & Associates a full-service planning, architecture and landscape architecture firm, has opened a new office in the Capitol Hill area of Denver, CO. Rebekah Calvert, TSW marketing director, will head this first regional branch of the Atlanta-based company. Sustainable design is an integral part of all TSW work, from the master plan level to the individual building components. Most of TSW’s staff are LEED Accredited Professionals and their designs incorporate a range of ideas for progressive energy and resource saving solutions.

Cathy Choi

BULBRITE President Cathy Choi has been nominated for the Residential Lighting 2010 Industry Leadership Award.  BULBRITE is a leading supplier of innovative, energy-efficient light source solutions and the premier educational resource for lamping technology. Ms. Choi has helped build the company's sales network with her sales management appointments and hiring of the industry's leading sales agencies.  In an effort to provide outstanding customer service, she has required BULBRITE's entire customer service, sales and operations teams to receive certifications from the ALA (American Lighting Association).

Jay Cameli

Mt. Juliet park system’s new leader, Jay Cameli plans to use the knowledge he has gained serving on Mt. Juliet's Planning Commission and by working for two of the state's largest engineering and architecture firms to grow Mt. Juliet's park system. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture. He is licensed in landscape architecture in Tennessee and six other states and has lived in Middle Tennessee for 20 years.

Jim Albert

Hord Coplan Macht, Inc. (HCM), a full-service architecture and landscape architecture firm, announced that Jim Albert, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP has earned his Board Certificate in healthcare architecture. Albert, a senior associate with the firm, recently passed an accredited examination that assesses the knowledge and understanding of architects who practice as healthcare specialists. Albert is one of only four ACHA board certified architects in the State of Maryland.

Bruce Schopp

Bruce Schopp, PE, SE, of Freeburg, Illinois, president of the civil and structural engineering / architectural design firm Oates Associates, has been elected to the board of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL). Schopp has been with Oates Associates for 25 years, rising to the position of chief structural engineer responsible for structural engineering and the firm’s major transportation projects. Stacey Wolff, a junior engineer, has passed the exam to become a licensed professional engineer in the State of Illinois. Wolff is vice president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) St. Louis chapter board of directors. Oates Associates is a multi-disciplined design firm with offices in Collinsville, Illinois, and St. Louis.

Dennis McGlade

OLIN is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis McGlade, FASLA, as Partner-in-Charge of the new West Coast branch.  Accompanying this news OLIN is pleased to announce the expansion of its landscape architecture and urban design practice with the opening of the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Caroline Weilert

ValleyCrest Landscape Companies, a leading integrated landscape services firm, announced the promotion of Caroline Weilert to vice president of marketing, a newly created position. Weilert joined the Calabasas-Calif.-based firm in 2005 and served as director of marketing, following nearly 15 years in the marketing and public relations industry. Over the past two years, Weilert has assumed greater responsibility for leading the marketing efforts of the company including building a strong team of six internal marketing specialists, establishing a market-leading brand vision and producing a wide range of materials to support and solidify the company’s growing presence both nationally and internationally.
