B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination promoted Justin Perez to manufacturing manager for both companies. In his new role he will oversee all manufacturing operations including production and maintenance of the companies' state-of-the-art machine center, assembly floor, shipping and receiving departments. Perez brings his extensive six years of technical sales and customer service manager experience to his new position where he will be challenged in implementing new products and technologies. Craig Reed will now be the new point of contact in assuming a Technical Sales II position. He joins B-K with a background in technical customer service including collaborative experience with architects and general contractors in product application specifications. Reed also brings several years experience in data, documentation and compliance for several design/build firms.
Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens appointed industry professional and published marketing expert Philip Zaleon as its new marketing director. With more than 18 years of experience in the both the indoor and outdoor living sector, Zaleon brings award-winning insight and strategic planning as the company continues growth in a recovering housing market with demand for outdoor living amenities. Prior to joining Danver, Zaleon founded and served as president of Z promotion & design, Inc., a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based integrated marketing, advertising and creative agency.
site design group, ltd., a landscape architecture and urban design firm located in Chicago, added Jennifer Weber Draper to its staff. Draper joins the team as a project manager and designer with a master of international planning and sustainable development degree from the University of Westminster in London, UK, and a bachelor of landscape architecture from Iowa State University.
JRL Design Studios, led by John Ribes, FASLA, has relocated within the historic Old Naples district of Naples, Fla. The firm was founded in 1970 and has been based in Old Naples since 1978. The relocation has seen JRL Design Studios move to a new studio on 8th Avenue South, just around the corner from Naples Bay. Bringing his wealth of experience and expertise with Florida coastal landscapes, Ribes has brought the firm to the forefront of landscape architecture in southwest Florida. "Through diligence, innovation and sound design principles we have built a practice recognized as a leader in terms of being stewards of the land and designers of spaces for people to live, work, and play," said Ribes.

Catherine Thomas works now as a sales associate with No Fault Sport Group. She is responsible for the sales of rubber playground and athletic safety surfacing for the Southeastern region of the United States.
Quick Crete Products added Anthony Vargas to its sales team, Vargas is a sales executive for the Southwestern territory. Vargas has worked for the company for many years in various operations capacities from 1999 to 2007. Anthony attended California State University Fullerton, where he earned his BA in business and majored in finance.
Perkins+Will announced that Ana Nelson and John Slack have joined the firm to assist in advancing its growing urban design and landscape architecture. Their signature projects include parks, open space and recreation plans, urban redevelopment, Transit Oriented Development, bicycle and pedestrian design. Nelson is a trained architect from Mexico and registered landscape architect in Minnesota with more than 14 years of experience. Slack is a registered landscape architect in four Midwestern states, including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and has been practicing for 19 years.
Gustafson Guthrie Nichol has received the singular ASLA Award of Excellence in General Design for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Campus. "The Award of Excellence is a wonderful honor for our team and for this outstanding client," said founding principal Shannon Nichol. "For eight years, we worked closely with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, NBBJ, and our other collaborators, forming, testing, and fine-tuning this campus landscape design – both above and below the surface." The firm also received a national Honor Award in Analysis and Planning for Unified Ground.
