Nearly 100 experienced specifiers from around the country gathered with key Toro personnel in early December for the second annual Toro Specifier Conference. The customers had the opportunity to discuss their product needs and pertinent industry issues with those people at Toro who are in charge of product development and industry support.
Toro found the trip to be very successful for them and the participants were equally favorable in their response to the event, according to Rick Robins, Toro Commercial Marketing Manager and the trip organizer.
The conference began with a tour of the Toro factory in Riverside, California. The tour highlighted Toro’s newest automated assembly lines, expanded Computer Aided Design facilities and a working display of new and existing products.
The group then boarded the S.S. Azure Seas for a weekend cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. Numerous conference and discussion meetings were held, with computer aided irrigation design programs and flow regulated shut-off valves being two of the more popular discussion topics.
