Perry L. Wood and Edward G. Evans, Jr. have announced the opening of Wood and Partners, Inc., a land planning and landscape architectural firm based in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Wood, a registered Landscape Architect in South Carolina, was formerly with Edward Pickney/Associates, Ltd. for 11 years where he was principal in charge of the Hilton Head offices since 1983. Wood is a past president of the South Carolina Chapter Chapter of the ASLA, and past Chairman of the South Carolina Landscape Architects Board of Registration Advisory Council. He is currently a ‘Master Grader’ for the CLARB Uniform National Exam Process.

Evans was formerly an Associate in charge of construction supervision and construction contract administration for Edward Pickney/Associates, Ltd., where he practiced for 11 years. Evans is an associate member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a professional member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

Garbini Landscape Architects, a San Diego based landscape architectural firm has changed their name and have moved their office to the Marston Building, 427 C Street, Suite 216, San Diego, California 92101. The move reflects the expansion of its staff and scope of services. The firm has changed its name to Garbini & Garbini, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Planning.

Garbini & Garbini, which was founded by Gail Garbini, has recently added Richard Garbini, a California registered Landscape Architect, to its staff in the position of partner. In his new capacity, Richard Garbini will be responsible for client development and planning services and will share project design and management responsibilities with Gail.

Richard, who has over 16 years professional experience, previously worked for Wimmer Yamada & Associates for seven years as Senior Designer and Senior Associate. He is currently President of the San Diego Chapter of the ASLA.

Phil Rampy, Public Relations Director for Wallis Baker & Verlander, P.A. a landscape architecture firm located in Winter Park, has been selected to serve on the board of directors for Orlando Landmarks Defense, Inc. (OLD Inc.)
