Don Wolfarth has been appointed Southern California Specification Manager for the Turf Division of Rain Bird Sales Inc., according to Ed Shoemaker, director of sales and marketing. Wolfarth’s responsibilities include serving as liaison between Rain Bird management and la’s, irrigation consultants and city and county officials. In addition, Wolfarth conducts irrigation seminars for various groups and universities. A licensed landscape architect, he brings 13 years of industry experience to his new post. He is a member of ASLA, ASIC and is involved in the CLASS scholarship fund.
Don Fisher is the new Specification Sales Manager for Toro Irrigation of Riverside, California. His new duties will include establishing working relationships with Southern California architects, irrigation consultants and municipalities. He will also be responsible for overseeing national specifier accounts. Fisher joined Toro in 1978 as Warehouse Supervisor, and is a member of ASLA and ASIC.

Don Cantacessi, ASLA, has become an associate of the Peridian Group. Cantacessi is a 1972 graduate of Cal Poly Pomona who originally joined Peridian in 1973 and then again in 1983 after heading his own firm in Tustin and Laguna Hills.
Dale Rahn has been appointed sales manager of Herrmann-Jensen Nurseries of El Toro, California. He is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona and has an extensive 10 year background in Southern California green industries.
Pete Johnson has been appointed commercial market product manager for the Turf Division of Rain Bird Sales Inc., according to Rex Dixon, marketing manager. In this position, Johnson coordinates the development of new products and the modification of existing equipment in both the commercial/industrial and drip irrigation markets. He is responsible for originating new products and developing and introducing these products into the market.
