Ervin Lovett Miller (ELM) announces three of its team members recently earned accreditation by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED???????(R)???????+???????(R)??????oe???? AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professionals). The team members include founding partners Russ Ervin and Steve Lovett, and architect Jeni Lassley. LEED???????(R)???????+???????(R)??????oe???? AP are those in the industry who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, and familiarity with LEED???????(R)???????+???????(R)??????oe???? AP requirements, resources and processes.

WilsonMiller announced that Sabrina L. McCabe, David J. Hurst, P.E., Steven P. Sammons, ASLA, Evan R. Johnson, ASLA, and Betsy O. Benac, AICP have recently become LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals.  McCabe, Hurst, Sammons, Johnson and Benac join 18 other LEED APs totaling 23 throughout the firm now holding this accreditation, a distinction earned by those professionals who demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles.

 




John Schnure

 

Clark Condon Associates announced the recent hiring of John Schnure.  He has been involved in a variety of project types including community development, hospitality, planning, retail and institutional. Earlier in his career, John helped prepare and present a greenway concept through Urban St. Louis, which was later recognized with a regional ASLA award. He is a member of the Texas Chapter of the ASLA and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership.

Joseph J. ?EUR??,,????'?????< received the crystal Frederick Law Olmsted Award for his service to the Olmsted Parks System at the 11th annual Olmsted gala.  The former chief executive officer of Pratt & Lambert United took over as chairman of the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy board in 2006, a crucial time in the organization?EUR??,,????'?????<

 




Jonathan Mueller

 

Jonathan Mueller, FASLA, has been voted 2009?EUR??,,????'?????<American Society of Landscape Architects. Some 30 percent of eligible voters, Fellow, full, association, and international members participated in the election. Mueller first became an ASLA member in 1981. A private practitioner, his professional frame of reference includes experience with design/construct, multidisciplinary, and independent landscape architecture firms as both an employee and stockholder. He is currently a senior landscape architect with Landmark, a landscape architectural studio of Architects West in Coeur d?EUR??,,????'?????<

The U.S. Green Building Council announced this week that Christopher Pyke, Ph. D. has been appointed research director. Dr. Pyke joins USGBC from CTG Energetics in Irvine, Calif., where he was National Director of Climate Change Services. He brings a strong background of leadership in green building research to USGBC, underscoring its commitment to raising the bar on research related to green building science and technology, including the performance of LEED-certified buildings.

Martha Ball, AIA, LEED???????(R)???????+???????(R)??????oe???? AP, has been named associate principal of Cannon Design. Martha Ball serves as the science and technology market leader for the firm?EUR??,,????'?????<American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council. 

Marsha L. Wyly, firm principal and owner at Wyly Landscape Architecture in Greenville, N.C. became U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional. Wyly also is chairwoman of the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects. Recent notable projects completed by Wyly Landscape Architecture include the Humber House in Greenville, the Shephard-Pruden Memorial Library in Edenton, and the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C.
