Tony Roell a project designer at MSI has received a LEED professional accreditation from the USGBC. Roell is responsible for assisting project managers with the design and construction process of landscape architecture projects. Roell earned his BLA in 2005 from Ohio State University.

TBG Partners, a landscape architecture and planning firm, announces the promotion of landscape designers Matthew W. Manda, ASLA and Thomas W. Auer, ASLA to associates in the Houston office. Manda earned a BLA from Ohio State University and is currently working on Lake Pointe Town Center, a mixed-use development in Sugar Land, Texas. Auer earned a BLA from Purdue University and is currently working on Jacob?EUR??,,????'???s Ranch and Mustang Creek, both residential communities in Houston, Texas.

Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design welcomes new designers Claudia Andrea Saavedra Meza and Maria del Pilar Toro-Ortiz. Meza has rejoined the NY office with an architectural degree from Catholic University of Valparaiso (UCV), in Valparaiso, Chile and an MA in lighting design from Parsons School of Design. Toro-Ortiz received a master?EUR??,,????'???s degree in architecture & associated degree in graphic design from the Parsons School of Design and a B.S. in architecture degree from Catholic University in Washington DC. She is joining the NY office.

Nels Peterson of Nightfall Landscape Lighting and Glen Fahringer of Earth Care For All That’s Green, Inc. were elected to the board of directors at the LVLIA. Peterson now holds the position of secretary, while Fahringer was appointed director. All of the members are contractors, manufacturers, lighting designers, and landscape architects from the United States and Canada who share the common goals of improving the low voltage landscape lighting industry.

Josh Cochran has joined Norris Design after graduating from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2005 with a BA in media arts and animation. Cochran’s strengths lie in creating 3D environments as well as painting landscapes and wildlife.

E.G.&G., Inc., a multidisciplinary firm comprised of urban planners, landscape architects and engineers, is expanding its Ohio-based operations to Washington, P.A. The company has named Rich Cleveland, who has been recognized for his work in economic development and community revitalization, as manager of the new office.






Tom Pinney


Tom Pinney has been inducted to ANLA Hall of Fame. Pinney, former president of Evergreen Nursery Company, Inc. earned a BA in landscape design and business from his home state’s land grant university and an MS in ornamental horticulture from Ohio State University. Pinney has also served on the chamber of commerce utility commission, the Rotary Club, the Masonic Order, his church’s board and Habitat for Humanity.

JJR Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of new associate Jennifer Sieracki. She is a site designer in the Ann Arbor Studio and has a master?EUR??,,????'???s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Michigan and a BS in natural resources. Currently Sieracki is working on several projects along the Gary, Ind. Lakefront.

Pardee Homes has promoted Gary Probert to senior vice president of sales for the company, which maintains new home operations in six California and Nevada markets. He will be responsible for sales, options and closing services. Probert is a licensed real estate broker in California and holds a BS in marketing from San Diego State University.
