Dick Nunis


Disney Legend Dick Nunis inducted into attractions industry hall of fame. The announcement was made during the Kickoff Event for IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007, the association’s annual conference and trade show at the Orlando County Convention Center. Nunis, a Disney Legend since 1999, was inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame in honor of his 44 years of service to the Walt Disney Company.

Washington-Sasaki Associates Inc. of Watertown, Mass., and San Francisco receives year?EUR??,,????'???s Landscape Architecture Firm Honor Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). The firm?EUR??,,????'???s recognition is part of awarding the ASLA?EUR??,,????'???s annual honors, the highest awards given by the association.






William B. Callaway


William B. Callaway, FASLA, of Sausalito, Calif., will receive the ASLA Medal ?EUR??,,????'??? the highest the group bestows upon a landscape architect for his lifetime achievements and contributions to the profession, the welfare of the public, and the environment.

ColeJenest & Stone, PA was recognized with an Honor Award during the 2007 North Carolina American Society of Landscape Architects (NCASLA) the award recognized the firm?EUR??,,????'???s work on the master plan for the City Park project. ColeJenest & Stone partnered with owner/client Pope & Land Enterprises, LLC of Atlanta, Georgia to create a new vision for the site of the 465,000-square-foot former Charlotte Coliseum and a 70-acre asphalt parking lot. The land, which is owned by the City of Charlotte, will be transformed into a mixed-use, active lifestyle community that will physically integrate a disconnected area of the city.

Richard L. Hagg


Richard L. Haag, FASLA, the 2003 recipient of the ASLA Medal, was honored with the ASLA Design Medal for 2007. He?EUR??,,????'???s participated in more than 500 built projects, including Gas Works Park in Seattle and Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, Wash. He continues to teach and lecture internationally while practicing as principal of Richard Hagg & Associates in Seattle.

The Great Valley Center of Modesto, Calif., received the Olmsted Medal for Environmental Leadership, vision and stewardship in its work in California?EUR??,,????'???s Central Valley.

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced that Tivoli Chief Operating Officer Andreas Veilstrup Andersen has been named the new executive director for IAAPA?EUR??,,????'???s operations in Europe.

Gail Lindsey


The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) honored 2007?EUR??,,????'???s most influential green building leaders at its annual Leadership Awards celebration. In the Community category LEED faculty member Gail Lindsey from Design Harmony and was instrumental in establishing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the nation?EUR??,,????'???s first green building rating system. Her past projects include: the Greening of the White House and the Pentagon, The Sustainable Design Initiatives for the National Park Service, The International Green Building Challenge, and the Department of Defense?EUR??,,????'???s Sustainable Design Training Program. In the last few years Gail has been assisting the U.S. EPA with their Energy Star Program.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) recently welcomed its newest member to the Board of Directors. Steve Zwilling, the Eastern US Market Development Manager for Profile Products LLC, was unanimously voted to join the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the IECA, an organization with which he has been involved.

Masterson has extensive experience in leisure concept design, development, and construction.
