Charlotte Schmitt


Lawrence O’Leary has been appointed specifications manager for the Turf Division of Rain Bird Sales, Inc. O’Leary will serve as liaison between Rain Bird management and public agencies in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. He will deal exclusively with public agencies. Rain Bird Sales, Inc. has appointed Charlotte Schmitt golf marketing coordinator. In her new position, Schmitt assists with the administration of the marketing program for Rain Bird’s golf division and acts as liaison between corporate headquarters and the nationwide network of golf distributors and clients. She has over two years of experience with Rain Bird. The company has also announced the appointment of Bob Bernards as Pacific Northwestern district manager. Bernard’s responsibilities in his new position are to provide sales support to the company’s distributors and contractors and serve as liaison between Rain Bird management and landscape architects, irrigation consultants and city/county officials.

Scott Fulton has accepted the position of director of sales for Jenco Wholesale Nurseries. With his 20 years of experience in horticulture, Fulton will be implementing an outside sales representative program for Jenco based out of Carollton, Texas. Jenco also has announced the promotion of Charles Sudduth to products manager for the entire company. Sudduth was previously manager of the Jenco Lubbock facility. Lincoln Moehle was promoted southern regional manager of Jenco. Moehle, previously manager of Jenco-Fort Worth, will now supervise the nurseries in Dallas, Lubbock, Austin and Fort Worth. Michael McCoy, previously manager of Jenco’s Tulsa branch, will now supervise Jenco-Wichita, Jenco-Tulsa and future acquisitions north of Texas in his new position as northern regional manager.






Bob Rodgers


Coast Turf of Anaheim and San Marcos, Calif. has appointed Bob Rodgers to its sales organization. Rodgers will manage the company’s master distributorship of the “Solar Wind 390 System Irrigation Computer.”

David Fletcher is now offering landscape consulting services. Landscape drafting, irrigation design and horticulture will be provided to landscape architects and irrigation consultants. Fletcher has over eight years experience in the landscape industry as a horticultural researcher and consultant, landscape contractor and irrigation designer emphasizing water management. Since graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in 1984 with a degree in ornamental horticulture and a minor in landscape irrigation engineering, Fletcher has worked for the LA County Arboretum, Burkard’s Nursery, Pasadena, Water Management Designs, Laguna Hills and D.D. Pagano, Inc., Tustin. He is a member of ASIC, supports CLASS Fund and is an advocate of water conservation.
