Peter Olin


The Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) recently inducted Peter Olin, director of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, into the MNLA Hall of Fame. Peter Olin, will be retiring in June. Coincidentally, this year is the 50th anniversary of the Arboretum and the 100th anniversary of its Horticultural Research Center.

Michael A.G. Burton, a WilsonMiller Vice-President and senior associate, has been named corporate Leader of Ecological & Water Resources. He will continue to serve as vice president and manager of Environmental Aquatic Control (EAC), a wholly owned WilsonMiller subsidiary that provides ecological restoration services statewide.

The Vermont Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) recently announced the winners of its annual award program. An ?EUR??,,????'??Award of Excellence,?EUR??,,????'?? the competition?EUR??,,????'???s highest honor, was given to the landscaping plan at the Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe and to a program for protecting the uplands of Lake George.

Murphy, ASLA, RLA, President of Amenity Architects, LLC of Marietta, Ga. has sold the business assets of his firm Amenity Architects to SEI (Southeastern Engineering, Inc), he joined SEI as the new department head of the planning and landscape architecture department. Mr. Murphy also hired landscape designer Glenn Butler, a previous employee of Scapes, to work in the new department along with existing SEI staff.
