As I look out at a landscape so pretty That turns into night overlooking the city I think about weather and whether it be Another full year for both you and for me And yes it be so, it be so yes indeed That all this past year was two zero one three And so much has happened is luck in its name? Or maybe thirteen is just part of its game Is it luck or just time that they're starting to build As banks sell their stock and contracts are quilled It wasn't the best year, but still it's been clear That people are ready and waiting to cheer Well maybe, just maybe there's hope up ahead But maybe, just maybe does not make the bread And folks are now seeing that change for a change Is sometimes quite helpful, but sometimes deranged So maybe, just maybe we oughta consider How well we were doing before there was Twitter Not that these tools cannot lend us a hand It's just time to start working all over this land And chores are a comin', they're coming its true For one thing is surely not red or not blue That sooner or later we'll figure it out And that is what this year has been all about Yeah two zero one three has been also benign Where business is stable and growing in line Nature's been quiet, some wind here and there Good rain has been falling, and crops have been fair LEED has been leading, sustaining the push Trends have been trending like growing a bush Those that are moving are moving along And those that are cruising are choosing their song So what can you say about two zero one three Other than maybe we started to breathe And started to focus and started to gather And get the things done that really do matter And while looking ahead is a path we must take Please take the time, yes, time please do make To think of the time that behind you remains For those that we've lost, remember their names Remember the things they taught you, yes think The knowledge and wisdom, like water to drink It's sad when we lose one, so don't let them go Good soil and moisture, yes that's how we grow So count up your blessings and put on your shoes We ain't got time to be singing no blues Cause soon as you know it, will come the new year Yep, spring is a marchin' and soon will be here And in the one four, there could be quite a roar As builders start building and hanging those doors So have a Great Christmas and Holiday Cheer We'll see you quite soon, yes we'll see you next year!
