Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Hello there to all, yes it's that time of year.
Time to reflect and to spread some good cheer.
You've gone through another, you made it, you're set.
And here's to the future, the best ever yet!

If you are now reading this short little song,
the Mayans and many just might have been wrong.
For all the predications of two-zero-one-two . . .
That was the worst for both me and for you.

But still, of the future, it's always an "if'.
Like wondering whether we fell off the cliff?
By now we should know whether something's been done.
Did we build up the fence, or tax just the ''One''?

It's really no matter which way that we lean.
Red state or blue state, the maps we've all seen.
If you live in the city, the left is your way.
The right lives in houses away from the fray.

And whether you side with the left or the right,
Half will be yelling with all of their might,
"How can you say that, you gotta be blind
the other side's crazy, you're outta your mind!"

But let's for a moment, forget how we vary,
And focus on things that help us stay merry.
Like Christmas and holidays, family and friends,
those are the things that will help us to mend.

Yep, we're in a business that mends up the land.
So starting with you, let's lend them a hand
and show all the others just what can be done
by adding some green and by adding some fun.

It's not that the next year will be all that great.
13 isn't lucky, it might just be fate,
But starting next year, some things will start shaking.
The banks will start selling and plans you'll start making.

As prices go up, and owners are able,
They'll let go their acres and open their stable.
And builders will start to level the land
and make sure they're ready with permit in hand.

And buildings that go up will start to show proof
of what can be done when you landscape the roof.
Stormwater too, if you hear what they say,
Will get you some work and add to your pay.

Oh, it won't be easy in two-zero-one-three,
For no one's quite sure just where we'll all be.
Things might move slowly, but move yes they must . . .
Like rain to a drought, relieves all the dust.

And as we all hope that things will move fast,
It's also important to remember the past.
I say it a bunch, at this time of the year,
"It's really about those that we all hold so dear."

About those that have led us one way or another
and those that we've lost that we used to call brother.
Yes, it's always important to look back and reflect
and give them their due and their well-earned respect.

For wherever we're headed, whatever's in store,
Those that have left us have opened the door.
For as we look onward to what is unseen,
What surely guides us, is where we have been.

The future is always just one step ahead.
It's where we are going, where we are led.
And whether your choice is for sad or good cheer,
Have a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year!

God Bless!
