In April 1987 the Four Seasons Hotel ?EUR??,,????'??? Los Angeles opened at the corner of Doheny Drive and Burton Way, adjacent to Beverly Hills.

The 16-story 285-room hotel is owned by Robert and Joseph Cohen. Both share an appreciation for horticultural beauty and landscape design which they wanted reflected in their hotel.

Lifescapes, Inc., of Newport Beach, California was responsible for all exterior design of the one-square block site. To create a ?EUR??,,????'??garden hotel?EUR??,,????'?? Lifescapes used fountains planting material suitable for depths, due to the underground parking garage.

As part of the landscape plan, Lifescapes used over 50 varieties of flowers, shrubs, vines and ground cover plants, in addition to various palm foliages, Jacaranda, Magnolia, oranges, ferns, giant Birds of Paradise, and Ficus trees.

This month?EUR??,,????'???s Landscape of the Month was submitted by Julie Edwards of Lifescapes, Inc. Photos by Randy Harrison.

Congratulations to Lifescapes, Inc. for their outstanding work. A $25.00 donation has been made on their behalf by Nightscaping and The Landscape Architect and Specifier News.
