Crystal Gutierrez has been hired at Architerra Design Group as a landscape designer. She is a 2013 graduate of California Polytechnic State University Pomona. Before joining the firm, she worked for the Los Angeles County Public Works Department.
Michael Aguas joins Architerra as its newest landscape designer. He received his bachelors of science in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, graduating with honors, and being named the College of Architecture and Environmental Design Outstanding Senior. He received the 2014 ASLA Student Award of Excellence for Community Service for a functional playscape design/build project.
David Powell has joined the firm as a project manager. A 2005 graduate with a bachelor of science in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts, he is a licensed landscape architect and LEED accredited professional with project experience, wide-ranging in scale, typology and region.
Dell Hatch has rejoined Bernardo/Wills Architects as landscape architect and design coordinator. Hatch, who previously worked for the firm from 2009 to 2013, specializes in master planning and the design of municipal and state parks, recreational complexes, outdoor sports and athletic facilities, higher-education campuses, K-12 schools, and urban-revitalization streetscapes.
Wood+Partners Inc., a regional land planning and landscape architecture firm, recently added staff in its Tallahassee, Fla. office. WPi has welcomed back Meghan Mick, LEED???(R)???AE???? AP, as project manager. She brings over 15 years of design and planning experience to the firm. A native of Tallahassee, Mick earned a master's degree in landscape architecture from the College of Design at North Carolina State University, a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts from Vanderbilt University and studied abroad at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia.
Eric Walsnovich joined the firm as a senior project manager. He brings over 23 years of landscape architecture and sustainable planning experience to the firm. Walsnovich earned a bachelor of science degree in landscape architecture from Pennsylvania State University. He has a background in public and private gardens, community planning, municipal and commercial projects.
American Society of Irrigation Consultant advocate and volunteer Linda Davis, event planner for Rain Bird Corp., was awarded the ASIC 2015 Sam Tobey Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's annual conference in Minneapolis. Davis has used her vast hospitality knowledge and networks to help manage successful ASIC educational conferences for more than 10 years – first as an employee with Rain Bird and later as a volunteer after retiring from Rain Bird.
Dr. Stephen W. Smith, FASIC, was awarded the ASIC Roy Williams Memorial Award at this year's annual conference. Owner of Wade Water LLC and Buena Vida Farm in Fort Collins, Colo., Smith continues to offer water resource and management consulting services. Specialties include irrigation and water rights engineering, irrigation automation and control and canal modernization.

Graefen has over 20 years of experience and has worked on both public projects (schools and universities, streetscapes, fire stations, park and recreation facilities, plazas, community buildings and water front projects) as well as private projects (housing developments, medical facilities, hospitals and wineries) throughout California.
