site design group, ltd., a landscape architecture and urban design firm in Chicago, has promoted Bradley McCauley to principal. Since joining the firm in 2007, McCauley has been responsible for escalating the firm's construction and detailing into award-winning projects. His leadership, dedication, and expertise will serve in his new duties of managing the day-to-day operations of the firm. With a background in environmental design from the University of Minnesota and a MLA from the University of Michigan, Jenna Jones joins site design group, ltd. as a project manager, overseeing a variety of urban design projects, sustainable design, and marketing coordination. Cynthia Gonzalez, a BLA graduate from the University of Illinois has joined site design group, ltd. to assist in the financial and technical operations of the firm.




Charles Leider


A display of posters on self guided driving tours of historic cultural landscapes in Oklahoma took first place in the poster contest at the annual meeting of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Planning Association in Stillwater. The posters were prepared and presented by Dr. Charles Leider based on the research work he and his Oklahoma State University landscape architecture students completed on historic cultural landscapes. The posters highlight significant landscapes which can be viewed on self guided driving tours in three Oklahoma regions. The landscapes are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and the Ponca City areas.

Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc. promoted Spencer Freeman to associate. He graduated with a degree in landscape architecture from Texas Tech University in 2004 and joined the firm in 2004. In addition, Delbert Hirst was promoted to vice president. With over 34 years experience in the design of outdoor recreational facilities, he has accumulated extensive knowledge in the design of bridge enhancements, downtown renovations projects, municipal water parks, synthetic turf football fields and synthetic surface track and field. Larry Stone has 35 years of experience in numerous areas of civil engineering including the design of roadways, drainage improvements, water distribution and sanitary sewer. This has been used in project management for many developers.




Bill Warren


Bill Warren is a sales, marketing, and design professional, working for Oldcastle Company, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of hardscape products, featuring the quality product line of concrete pavers and walls, named, Belgard, Walls and Floors for your Outdoors. He is currently involved in the manufacture and sales of environmental processes and permeable, concrete, paver products, under LEED points and certifications, for managing and harvesting storm water run off.




Mary Zimmerman


Rhodeside & Harwell, an award-winning landscape architecture and planning practice, has hired Mary Zimmerman as a project manager in the firm's Newark, N.J., office. Zimmerman was previously head of the capital and planning office of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she had worked for 17 years. Her experience there included management of the $13 million Watercourse and $5 million Boathouse restoration projects.




Rocio Gertler

Spurlock Poirier Landscape Architects, a San Diego firm known for its thoughtful, innovative landscape designs, has promoted project managers Rocio Gertler and Yu-Ju Liu to associate principal positions. Gertler and Liu will play key roles in shaping the overall direction and operations of the firm, as well as project management. Rocio's talents in perpetuating the quality of open spaces combined with Liu's extensive organizational and people skills are just a few of the characteristics that make both team members ideal for their new positions.




Bruce Hazzard


Bruce Hazzard has been selected as president/CEO for Noble Rock Properties in North Carolina. The company is engaged in the design and development of luxury, sustainable properties for private residences, commercial properties and hospitality venues. The flagship project is Noble Rock Resort & Spa, located near Asheville.




Dan Hughes


Firma Design Group hired Dan Hughes, P.E., director of engineering, to join the team to continue the excellence in engineering our firm has been known to complete. He has been construction/project managing Waldo Point Harbor which is a 12 million dollar project that includes the management of a team of architects, civil, structural and geotechnical engineers, biologist, planners and landscape architects.
