  • Making a Splash in Big Spring
    The renovation of the backyard of this Big Spring, Texas residence includes a 70-foot long, 30-foot wide crescent pool with a 14-foot deep end, and a raised stone hot tub with a 10-foot diameter. The edge of the pool spills into a rock-lined basin punctuated by pillars for fountain pots, creating a vanishing edge near the entertaining area.

  • Art in the Landscape "?u Pittsburgh's Cloud Arbor
    Buhl Community Park at Allegheny Square on Pittsburgh's Northside sits in front of the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. The park was a $6.5 million collaborative effort between the museum, Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture of San Francisco, site artist Ned Kahn and Koolfog.

  • Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden, Dallas Arboretum
    The design team of Van Sickle & Rolleri (exhibit design), MKW + Associates, LLC (landscape architecture) and Dattner Architects were selected after a national search to create an engaging and beautiful 8-acre outdoor learning experience for children at the Dallas Arboretum. Water wends its way through 14 linked themed learning galleries, and past the earth sheltered Exploration Center.

  • The Village at Meridian, Idaho
    There are two pools on two levels at the Village at Meridian in Meridian, Idaho, with a 50-ft. long waterfall separating the upper and lower ponds. Thirty-foot Norway maples and other maple varieties were selected in Canada and brought down to be the signature trees around the village square.

  • Sky Mirror Fountain, At&T Stadium, Dallas
    Sir Anish Kapoor's 35-foot diameter, 23-ton, "Sky Mirror" sits on a granite "plinth," supported by reinforced structural concrete piers. The top of the plinth is a reflecting pool and fountain. The mirror is polished 316-grade stainless steel with the concave mirror angled and facing east to reflect the color and cloud patterns of the Texas sky.
