    "?uLandscape Architecture by Wagner Hodgson
    Shelburne Farms was built in 1886 by William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb as a model agricultural estate. Frederick Law Olmsted crafted conceptual designs for the site, and noted architect Robert Robertson designed four major buildings for the estate.

  • Lions at the Gates

    The Lions' Gate residence was inspired by the owner's love of Southern France, and their desire to have their primary residence include design elements experienced and enjoyed from their travels abroad. Planning Design Studio designed the formal site layout, landscape and design elements in response to the owner's input. True to the name, lion sculptures and motifs occur throughout the site.

    Situated in the foothills of the upper Sonoran Desert, the Ocotillo Drive Garden remodel in Paradise Valley, Arizona (pop. 14,558) transformed a shallow backyard into a refined modern garden with ample room for entertaining. This new contemporary garden creates a direct connection to the house and the desert vistas.

  • Historic Seaside Cottage

    This seaside cottage, which sits along Buzzard's Bay in Massachusetts, was built in 1905, and although it has been modified and modernized over the years, the most recent owner wanted to restore the house to its original beauty, and add an easy-to-maintain and functional landscape.
