B-K Lighting and TEKA Illumination promoted Tricia McGrath to Western regional sales manager and Jacqueline Mendez to customer service manager. McGrath will be responsible for product introduction, training, service support and sales growth between sales agencies and client base. After joining B-K Lighting+TEKA Illumination in 2010, McGrath moved from customer service representative to customer service manager. Mendez has been promoted to Customer Service Manager for B-K Lighting+TEKA Illumination. Her prompt delivery of service, professional attitude and in-depth product knowledge earned her the promotion.
BMLA Landscape Architecture, a Southern California-based landscape architecture firm, has added Steve Shirrel to the firm. He will be filling the newly established role of vice president of operations. Shirrel comes to BMLA with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He is a registered landscape architect and a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Wood+Partners Inc. has welcomed back Brad Tackett as senior project manager. He joins the Tallahassee office with over 15 years of experience and is a registered landscape architect in Mississippi. A 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, Tackett's professional experience includes extensive project coordination and management experience in all aspects of land design and project development.
Mahan Rykiel Associates, a Baltimore-based landscape architecture, urban design and planning firm, announced that Joonyon Kim, Matthew Renauld, Fred Lippert and Peter Clark have joined their staff. Kim relocated from Korea, Lippert from Seattle and Clark from Wisconsin to join the award-winning firm. Kim joins the institutional studio as an associate principal with 20 years of experience designing successful landscape architecture and urban design projects around the globe. He has an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from Sung Kyun Kwan University in Seoul, Korea, and received a master of landscape architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. Associate principal Renauld is a licensed landscape architect with more than 14 years of experience as a designer and project manager, and joins the Individual Studio. He has worked as project manager and lead designer on a broad range of project types. Lippert's interest in landscape design and urbanism grew from his appreciation of the aesthetic values of Japan, where he worked as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer following his graduation from the US Naval Academy. He earned a master of landscape architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Clark joins the firm as a landscape designer after receiving his bachelor of landscape architecture and certificate in environmental studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his time at UW-Madison, Peter was involved in the planning of LAbash.
Birchwood Design Group, a Providence, R.I. based landscape architecture firm has recently promoted two to partner and hired a new designer. Ashley Iannuccilli, LEED AP, has been made partner in the firm. She brings over 10 years of experience on a broad range of projects including urban re-development, parks and recreation facilities, housing, schools, universities streetscapes and residential gardens. Timothy Brown has also been made a partner in the firm. A CLARB certified landscape architect. He has over 16 years of experience in the landscape industry. John Luca, landscape designer, was recently brought on full time. He is a 2013 graduate of the University of Rhode Island. His interests and ability in design have allowed him to make a positive contribution to the firm.
studio|16:19,llc, a Round Rock, Texas-based landscape architecture, urban design and planning firm announced that Susan Curp and Robert Kreuzburg have joined the staff. Curp, a Kansas State graduate, has 20 years of experience in landscape architecture and land planning and has worked in several states. Kreuzburg joins the studio as an associate and holds a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and minor in horticulture
from Texas A&M University. He has experience in sustainable food production and cooperative gardening.
