HensonFoley P.C., a landscape architecture and civil engineering firm based in Charlotte, N.C., has purchased Annapolis-based O'Doherty Group Landscape Architecture. Pearse O’Doherty opened the O’Doherty Group in 2001. Its projects include work at The Maryland Zoo, the Governor's Mansion and Historic Court Square in Charlottesville, Va. The group will retain its name, and O'Doherty will stay on staff. Terms of the sale were not released.

RVK is pleased to announce the following promotions to senior associates.  Chris Harris has been promoted to associate. Christina Davis, LEED AP, is currently working on the NuStar corporate headquarters and the Law Offices of Fulbright & Jaworski. Desiree A. Salmon, ASLA, is currently working on the Beacon Hill Linear Park, Miraflores. Chris Harris is the firm’s building information modeling (BIM) manager and currently working on the University Health System Hospital (Medical Center) and NuStar corporate headquarters. Charles H. Dayton serves as RVK business manager.

Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design (HLB) welcomed new team members to their firm. Christina Andriole has joined HLB's Boston office as a lighting designer. Christina is a design member of the IALD and a member of the IESNA and DLF-NE; Lindsey Paquette joins our Los Angeles office as a lighting designer. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the IESNA as well as the USGBC; Bradley Sisenwain has re-joined HLB's New York office as a lighting designer. Bradley is a member of the DLF-NY; Clifton Manahan has joined HLB's Los Angeles office as a lighting designer. Clifton is a design member of the IALD and a member of the IESNA. Also, the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) has recognized Lee Brandt as a professional member.  As an associate principal in HLB's New York office, Lee leads the HLB team on sustainable issues and green building and is a proactive member of the IALD's Energy and Sustainability (E&S) Committee. In addition, she is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the IESNA.

Warner Larson Inc., a landscape architecture firm in Boston, MA, is pleased to announce Douglas Morse, ASLA has joined the firm as a project manager.  Doug has over 13 years of experience in landscape architecture and civil engineering services.  He has provided conceptual designs through final construction administration on many academic institutions, athletic facilities, and commercial projects. He received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts.

Weisman Design Group announced two additions to their firm. Whitney Summerford to their team of landscape architects. Whitney brings a high level of energy to each project. Her love for design comes through in her creative and innovative ideas and solutions. Whitney graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelors of Landscape Architecture and has been practicing in the profession since 2005; Heidi Hughes joined Weisman Design Group as a landscape designer and office assistant. Heidi graduated with her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Washington State University. She has been practicing in the profession since 2009.

 




Heidi S. Bringman

 

LHB registered Landscape Architect and Wetland Specialist, Heidi S. Bringman, LA, passed the Minnesota Wetland Delineator Certification Exam. By becoming a Certified Wetland Delineator (CWD), Heidi has proven she has the knowledge and technical skills to identify hydric soils, vegetation, hydrology, and wetland classifications to establish wetland boundaries. Determining the line for wetland boundaries has significant implications on property values, development potential, wildlife management, and land restoration for landowners and stakeholders alike. Heidi has ten years of experience as a landscape architect and six years of experience as a Wetland Specialist, is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), is a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), and has been with LHB since 2002.
