Founded in 1934, the Brick Industry Association (BIA) has served as the national voice of America's clay brick industry for over 90 years. Created to unify and support manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers, BIA has led the industry through economic shifts, code evolutions, and sustainability advancements by championing research, safety, and innovation, to promote the unmatched durability and timeless beauty of brick.

 

Throughout its history, BIA has remained focused on celebrating the beauty, durability, and long-term value of genuine clay brick and clay brick pavers. In support of this work, BIA's Landscape and Paving Council offers guidance, shares best practices, and helps educate decision-makers about the performance, sustainability, and aesthetic value of clay pavers in landscape design. In 2014, BIA celebrated 80 years.
