As the only landscape architect at the Georgia Tech College of Architecture, where he has led and taught for 36 years, Professor Emeritus Douglas Allen has influenced an entire generation of architects and city planners. He makes clear that each designer's work is part of a greater context, a message he frequently shares with the public. He co-created the school's study abroad program, now in its 20th year, and was instrumental in forming the urban design degree program there. He describes his work as a mission to promote the unique contributions that landscape architects have made in our cities, towns and regions. To view more 2013 ASLA Class of Fellows please click here.
