Pavilions at Talking Stick Theatre and Food Court Remodel, Scottsdale

The Pavilions at Talking Stick, formerly known as the Scottsdale Pavilions, is a retail center built in the 1980?EUR??,,????'???s on the Salt River Pima Indian Community. The recent improvement to the Theatre/Food Court was done in conjunction with a new vehicular and pedestrian connection to the recently constructed Salt River Fields, the spring training facility for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies.

The new landscape is more of a desert palette, with defined pedestrian spaces for dining, connectivity, and relaxation. The design includes a circular Pima Indian basket weave hardscape pattern, and other small motifs of Pima Indian symbols. A linear boulevard of existing date palms was left in place, but updated with new lighting as a tribute to the early aesthetic of the retail center, and to provide a transition from the old plant palette to the new.

Golf Club Scottsdale

Golf Club Scottsdale is a private golf course/club with an old hacienda ranch-style building reminiscent of those built in Arizona territorial days. Great detail went into creating a rustic feel throughout the project. The clubhouse courtyard is entered through old wooden gates, giving it a fortress-like feel. Inside, larger specimens of gnarled ironwoods, mesquites and palo verdes create shade and an oasis-like feel. Separate areas

like the spa, eating nooks and a back patio with a fire pit are also lushly landscaped. There is even a mock orchard with ebony trees to evoke the character of an old hacienda.

Tanger Outlets at Westgate, Glendale, Ariz.

The Tanger Outlet project is an open-air concept shopping center, with emphasis placed on courtyards with ample amounts of vegetation to enhance the pedestrian experience. Amenities include large trellis structures for shade, misters, large fans, water features and outdoor fireplaces.

Glendale Renaissance Hotel

The Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Convention Center offers 320 guest rooms and over 100,000 square feet of convention center space.
