Italian Style Home, Paradise Valley, Arizona

The inspiration for this garden comes directly from the owner?EUR??,,????'???s numerous artworks and exotic masks collected during her travels. The concept plan outlined and defined the spaces, while maximizing views of the mountains and Arizona sunsets. The design references areas like the Cinque Terre (the rugged Liguria coastline area on the Italian Riviera); an Andalusian courtyard; an Italian villa; a moonlight garden; and a butterfly and hummingbird garden. The spaces or collections are each unique, yet blend from one to another for a cohesive composition. The landscape architect incorporated some of the owner?EUR??,,????'???s collections into the garden elements, such as her broken glass collection into the entry fountain. The selection of boulders was challenging, as the color needed to be a near perfect match to the distant mountains to connect with the garden. Boulders were even set within a zero-edge swimming pool. The pool design brings calmness to the garden and reflects the mountain views.

Spanish Mediterranean-Style Home, Paradise Valley, Arizona

This project was designed to be reminiscence of the architecture of southern Spain. The plant palette and climate of the Spanish Mediterranean are similar to the climate of Phoenix. The use of citrus, olives and date palms are common to both areas. The style?????EUR??,,?EUR known as Spanish Mediterranean in the Andalusia region has locally become known as the ?EUR??,,????'??Santa Barbara style,?EUR??,,????'?? as that southern California town strongly embraces that style.?????EUR??,,?EUR The white stucco walls, red-tiled roofs, hand-carved stone detailing and the use of Moorish tile are prominent to this architectural style. The Moorish influence is evident in much of the home detailing.

Frank Lloyd Wright-Style Home, Paradise Valley, Arizona

As the homeowner had a collection of rare and exotic cacti and succulents, Chad Robert planned the gardens accordingly. The house has a Frank Lloyd Wright-style architecture; the patios and walls were designed to relate to this Prairie style. Bold, contrasting red and green painted CMU walls and colored concrete make the home stand out. The use of desert native plants and permeable paving respect the Southwest?EUR??,,????'???s most precious resource?EUR??,,????'??+water.
