Landscape Lighting Supplier Makes Fastest-Growing List

LED lights last up to 10 times longer, give off less heat and are much more silent than their counterparts: three reasons cited for the continued growth of their use in many industries.

EnvironmentalLights.com, an online retailer for energy-efficient LED lighting, including landscape lighting, has been named to the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 list of America'?N????e??os fastest-growing private companies; ranking 3102 nationally and 68 in the San Diego metro area.

The company, which started business in 2006, had a three-year sales growth of 107 percent. It now offers over 2,500 LED products on their website.

As one of the fastest growing industries in the world, LEDs are expected to account for a quarter of the global lighting market by 2016 according to NPD Display Search.

The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 compared percentage revenue growth between 2009 and 2012 to rank the companies. To qualify, companies must have been U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2012. The minimum revenue required for 2009 was $100,000; the minimum for 2012 is $2 million.
