Washington, D.C.?EUR??,,????'??+The American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) will head to Chicago this September for the 2004 Landscape Distribution Tour (LDG Tour). The tour is an opportunity for landscape distribution and landscape professionals to get a behind-the-scenes look at the business practices of other leading horticultural distribution operations.
Following successful tours in Atlanta and New York, Chicago was overwhelmingly selected by attendees as the next ?EUR??,,????'??must see?EUR??,,????'?? region. The heavily competitive and dense Chicago metropolitan market is known for the quality of product and site presentation. The area also boasts a rapidly growing number of landscape distributors with significant hard goods divisions. The LDG tour will explore about a dozen Chicago area sites, examining the operations, best practices and marketing at each facility.
Tour highlights include the Charles J. Fiore Company, Lurvey Landscape Supply and Midwest Groundcovers.
?EUR??,,????'??With all of the other eager participants on the tour, it?EUR??,,????'???s hard not to find someone with whom you can discuss the hot topics of the day,?EUR??,,????'?? remarked ANLA tour attendee Alan Jones of Manor View Farm, Maryland.
Seats are limited and complete details and registration will be available in early May. Email mstrickland@anla.org to get on the list to receive information, and visit www.anla.org for more information.
