The Association of Professional Landscape Designers announces six members have recently received certification as professional landscape designers. The certification program recognizes those who have a strong educational and/or work background and who exhibit creative design skills with professional graphics. Drawings are evaluated from installed projects that present inventive solutions to assigned problems. APLD certification is recognized as the national program setting standards for landscape designers. It is available for associate APLD members in good standing, who have been practicing landscape design for a minimum of two years.

Only certified members may use the designation of APLD after their name. To encourage certified members to continue their education, APLD requires recertification every three years, with 30 contact hours of continuing education credit.
The Association of Professional Landscape Designers is an international organization representing over 1,000 members in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and other countries. Its goal is to advance landscape design as an independent profession and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as highly qualified, dedicated professionals.
