The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) announces the induction of Judson Griggs, ASLA, of Lied's Landscape Design and Development, Sussex, WI, as the 1997 ALCA President. Griggs was sworn into office during ALCA's recent Annual Executive Forum in Acapulco, Mexico. Griggs, a Landscape Architect, (See LASN July 1996, "Sweet Relations") has been a member of ALCA since 1987:"Through my leadership, I want to help others realize the importance of belonging to a professional organization, so that they too can become leaders in the industry " In addition to his association with ALCA, Griggs has served on the board of the S.E Wisconsin SB Chapter of the March of Dimes, and has won many environmental design awards.
