Landscape Architect Named to "Tastemakers"

Forbes magazine nominates "tastemakers" in the fields of architecture and cuisine, and no doubt other publications do similar lists. Last year, House & Garden magazine got into the act with its 1st Annual Tastemakers presentation. In this year's April issue, H & G present its 2nd Annual Tastemakers, identifying "50 for the future of design, from interiors and gardens, to cars and home fragrances."

Landscape architect Edith Katz, owner and principal of Laboratory of Landscape Architecture in Santa Fe, N.M., made the list. Katz was recognized for “innovative modern gardens with roots in the Southwestern terrain.”

Also recognized in the garden/landscape category were Art Luna, a Los Angeles garden designer, and Mark Work, a Texas landscape designer who learned on the job with Austin Landscape Architect James David.
